Reports that examine a borrowing member country’s economic status, lending portfolio, and various country-specific themes or issues.
Recommended transparency standards: Without access to the expert analysis prepared by the institutions, the public lacks key information about borrowing countries and the effectiveness of the institutions’ activities in a given country. The public should have access to the institutions’ reports on a borrowing member country’s economic status, lending portfolio, and the performance of various sectors.

CPPRs assist the Bank to (a) learn from implementation experience to improve both the implementation of the existing portfolio and the quality of projects entering the portfolio; (b) reinforce borrower ownership of Bank-financed projects; © develop the design of the Bank's Country Assistance Strategy; and (d) ensure the continued relevance of projects in the portfolio "for sector strategies.
